Allora, nel mio sistema ho installato l´ Xorg-6.8.1 e possiedo un kernel 2.6.10 ricompilato interamewnte da me, pertanto non ho idea se i kernel formiti da Pat includono o no il tmpfs.
 
 Ribadisco che la modifica al file agpgart_be.c deve essere effettuata solo da chi possiede un kernel 2.6.10. Sui kernel 2.6.9 non va fatta

x Dalpo: il tuo problema si risolve aggiungento il tmpfs come spiegato nei vari post
 
 x Margherita: dalle scritte vedo che hai un 2.6.9 quindi non devo modificare quel file. Il problema di operation not permitted non saprei... prova a dare il comando "make clean" all´interno della directory fglrx/build_mod/2.6.x e poi ricompila normalmente.

Ma non è un po´ poco? Io, con l´accelerazione nativa
 e con un´ATI Radeon 9000 ottengo questi risultati:

Ma cosa potrebbe essere?
 Driver propietari scadenti oppure ho configurato male xorg ??

djgaspa: ti ho mandato il mio xorg.
 Veramente, dell´accelerazione non me ne fo molto,
 tanto che, per evitare guai e ricompilazioni
 su ricompilazioni, mi sono accontentato
 di abilitare quella del kernel.
 Credo che i driver per linux siano in effetti
 meno performanti di quelli per Win.
 Prova a postare le sezioni rilevanti di xorg.conf

I file di configurazione vanno bene, purtroppo non posso fare confronti tra la mia configurazione e quella di samiel perché lui sta usando il driver "radeon" fornito con il pacchetto xorg. E tale driver come ben sapete non supporta il DRI per le Radeon >= 9500

Ancora devo capire come mai tutti quelli FPS (che c**o!!)
 
 Inoltre ho preparato un pacchetto Slackware molto più conforme di quello che si ottiene con un semplice rpm2tgz. Ho sistemato i permessi e gli owner dei files e ho spostato i sorgenti del modulo in /usr/src/ATI (un posto ben più consono che in /lib/modules) ed i documenti in /usr/doc , secondo tradizione slack. Non sono incluse le patch per le varie varianti di kernel per il semplice motivo che ogni nuovo kernel avrà molto probabilmente bisogno di nuovi aggiustamenti. Se qualcuno ritiene però utile includerle me lo dica e vedo che posso fare.
