parametri xorgconfig
Ho sbagliato i parametri di xorgconfig. Sicome prima "dell´esperimento" funzionava tutto, posso recuperare i vecchi parametri, cioè sono stati salvati da quaqlche parte o li ho definitivamente persi sovrascrivendo il file xorg.conf?

Se vuoi, ti posto il mio /etc/X11/xorg.conf: e´ quello originale di slack 10, senza modifiche particolari, a parte quella che abilita la rotellina del mouse (se non la vuoi, cancella l´occorrenza " Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5" "):

Ma il driver dovrebbe essere giusto. Con xorgconfig ho scelto la radeon ed io ho una ati radeon 9000 pro. Altre idee? Ho provato a modificare le impostazioni dallo schermo ma quando entro in Windows giustamente è tutto sfalsato!<br>

il driver "radeon" che vedi è roba vecchia (fatto per le prime radeon, quelle senza numeri dietro, non so se ti ricordi), devi scaricarti quelli nuovi. cerca degli howto su come si installano perchè la procedura non è immediata.

Se passo dal keenel 2.4.26 al 2.6.10 ho gia i driver per la radeon 9000 pro della ati o devo scaricare i driver più aggiornati? Ho letto i post sui nuoi driver ati ma non ho capito se sono gia efficienti oppure necessitano di modifiche.

... l´ultimo kernel buono da questo punto di vista dovrebbe essere il 2.6.7, cioè quello sul secondo cd di slack 10.
