modprobe -r per scaricare i moduli e con modprobe ricaricalo... deve andare...

Ho anche provato a ricompilare i driver usando il kernel standard di slackware, ma anche in questo caso il modulo si carica ma poi non c'è il device.

Ok, nel frattempo ho fatto funzionare tutto (ma ricominciando da capo con il kernel 2.6.21.4 ed il 2.6.25) wireless, webcam, touchpad ecc.

Appena ho un pò di tempo scrivo un breve tutorial.

Adesso è un bel oggetto l'eeepc!!! lo uso quando viaggio ed mi trovo benissimo.
Uso fluxbox e tramite ssh lo uso come megatelecomando del mio mac.
Ripeto, per me il più bell' acquisto della mia vita.

per andare deve andare tutto, si tratta di ottimizzare il kernel e le patch... ma si deve testare bene... se lo avevo già funzionava tutto perfettamente.

no non faccio una distro bella pronta perchè ci vuole tempo e i test sono molto pochi... e poi per motivo sopra.

post-installazione ci sarebbe la mia guida, nel senso che una volta che il kernel pacchettizzato sarà tutto ok, non c'è poi da fare molto lavoro.

Allora, tirando le somme funziona bene.
Non ho avuto ancora il tempo di far funzionare lo standby/sospensione.

Il kernel di defaul funziona senza problemi, si tratta solo di compilare alcuni pacchetti in più, cosa che del resto è necessaria per ogni pc.
Avere un unico megapacchetto da installare per far funzionare tutto? ci si può provare.

Purtroppo in questi giorni sono senza internet a casa.

Iniziamo dal dire che tutto quello che scrivo l'ho testato su slackware 12 con il kernel di default 2.6.21.5 ed il 2.6.25.

Il kernel di default funziona senza problemi, l'ho comunque ricompilato ed allego il .config

Per far funzionare il wireless compilare il file madwifi-nr-r3366+ar5007.tar.gz
Per far funzionare la webcam compilare il file uvcvideo-r104.tar.gz (ricordarsi di abilitare la webcam da bios), poi funziona sia con amsn che con skype, ma per far funzionare luvcview devi lanciarlo con la seguente opzione "-f yuv"
Per lo scrolling compilare il file synaptics-0.14.6.tar.bz2.

Si deve poi ricompilare wpa_supplicant con il supporto madwifi per far funzionare la crittografia WPA

Ho poi utilizzato i file mesa e xf86-intel forniti da submax.

Ho lasciato fstab di default, ho solo aggiunto l'opzione noatime in /dev/sda1 (ovvero il disco) ed ho utilizzato il tmpfs solo per la partizione di tmp.

Il file asus-osd è quello di submax.

Non so se funzionano il microfono e l'uscita video, mai provate.
