[Risolto] Problemi Primo avvio slackware 12.0

ciao a tutti! ho da poco installato Slack versione 12.0

al primo avvio pero' si blocca dicendo:

ho combinato qualche idiozia nell'installazione?

sono un principiante per favore non siate troppo severi

Linux root=/dev/sda4

ma potrebbe anche darsi che tu abbia installato un kernel (magari il generic) che non e' lo stesso con cui hai avviato il cd di installazione e magari non ha il supporto per il tuo controller (e quindi non vede il disco).

no, quello e' da mettere sulla riga di boot di lilo

comunque si, puoi mettere /dev/sda3 (chissa perche hda4? forse e' sda4)

ma perchè usi grub?
Ipotizzo che tu abbia un'altra distro linux per cui usi grub.
Quindi il problema è che quando selezioni la slackware in grub ti parte st'errore mm

ma sei sicuro di aver messo la tua "/" in /dev/sda3 ?

dovresti rilanciare il cd di installazione (o riavviare con l'altro linux che hai installato) e dare il comando "fdisk -l": ti fara' vedere le partizioni dei tuoi hard disk.
questo dovrebbe aiutarti ad individuare dove lo hai installato.
se invece il problema e' che hai installato un kernel-generic, quando hai lanciato il cd di installazione (o hai avviato con l'altro linux) e sei nella shell di root monta il filesystem e il cdrom e copiaci i file del kernel-huge-smp (sono in slackware/a/).
poi entra in chroot sul filesystem montato (col comando chroot) e installa il pacchetto del kernel-huge-smp.
