Se avete problemi con l'installazione e la configurazione di Slackware postate qui. Non usate questo forum per argomenti generali... per quelli usate Gnu/Linux in genere.
Regole del forum
1) Citare sempre la versione di Slackware usata, la versione del Kernel e magari anche la versione della libreria coinvolta. Questi dati aiutano le persone che possono rispondere.
2) Per evitare confusione prego inserire in questo forum solo topic che riguardano appunto Slackware, se l'argomento è generale usate il forum Gnu/Linux in genere.
3) Leggere attentamente le risposte ricevute.
4) Scrivere i messaggi con il colore di default, evitare altri colori.
5) Scrivere in Italiano o in Inglese, se possibile grammaticalmente corretto, evitate stili di scrittura poco chiari, quindi nessuna abbreviazione tipo telegramma o scrittura stile SMS o CHAT.
6) Appena registrati è consigliato presentarsi nel forum dedicato.
La non osservanza delle regole porta a provvedimenti di vari tipo da parte dello staff, in particolare la non osservanza della regola 5 porta alla cancellazione del post e alla segnalazione dell'utente. In caso di recidività l'utente rischia il ban temporaneo.

beh prima cosa dovresti mettere anche ro dopo la stringa di root.. e vga=xxx (non so che "risoluzione" puoi usare).
A questo punto fai un
ls -l
di /boot/
della Slackware così magari vediamo se è un problema di kernel

Non è che lo suggerisco, io lo uso perché lo trovo più intuitivo, poi chiunque può usare quello che più gli piace.
Comunque se quelle sono le partizioni non ci vedo niente di sbagliato perché root (hd0,2) è sda3, se non hai dischi IDE e la linea del kernel pure corrisponde.
Ma non è che ti sei dimenticato di reinstallarlo dopo aver cambiato configurazione?

quando hai installato slackware alla fine dell'installazione ti ha chiesto di mettere una password per root (che è il superuser)
devi mettere quella
ti consiglio però di aggiungere un nuovo utente
adduser
e di switchare a root solo quando è strettamente necessario con il comando

...ho messo fluxbox.....interessante come desktop...secondo voi e' buono con slack?
devo fare un doppio sforzo a imparare slack e flux .

eheh una delle cose belle di slackware...scegli quello che vuoi
Io uso xfce come desktop environment, lo trovo completo e molto leggero.
Anche fluxbox so essere molto leggero ma non l'ho provato.
