Regole del forum
1) Citare sempre la versione di Slackware usata, la versione del Kernel e magari anche la versione della libreria coinvolta. Questi dati aiutano le persone che possono rispondere.

[RISOLTO] compiz x3100

salve, non riesco a trovare un guida per far funzionare compiz o compiz-fusion per la mia scheda video, in veriata su google cè qualcosa....volevo una specifica per x3100 e slackware passo a passo

E' difficile che tu possa trovare una guida per slack E per la tua esatta scheda.
Io ti consiglio di risolvere prima il problema del direct rendering e poi di guardare come configurare compiz (magari usando guide "simili" che ti indichino come impostare il tuo xorg.conf).

Ciao.
Nel forum trovi già tutto.

Attenzione che nell'ultimo link si parla di Slackware 12. Se hai la 12.1 non dovrebbero esserci problemi perché il driver intel e xorg sono aggiornati (credo anche mesa).

Anch'io ho una intel x3100 e il direct rendering funziona.

non riesco attivare il rendering...scusa giberg potresti postarmi l tuo xorg.conf, usi anche tu i driver del kernel intel ?

Eccolo. Scusa, non ho tagliato le parti che non servivano,
tranne l'introduzione.
Io avevo messo anche il valore di VideoRam
ma a quanto ne so il sistema dovrebbe riconoscerlo
in automatico, quindi non dovrebbe essere necessario
modificarlo.

Uso il driver intel tra quelli presenti in xorg.
In Slackware 12 c'era una versione precedente,
ho dovuto aggiornare sia il driver intel, sia xorg.
xf86-video-intel 2.2.0 (in Slackware 12.1 trovi già il 2.2.1)
xorg-server 1.4.0.90
mesa 7.0.2

*Edit*: ho controllato i pacchetti in Slackware 12.1.
Vai tranquillo con quelli che ci sono.
