Regole del forum
1) Citare sempre la versione di Slackware usata, la versione del Kernel e magari anche la versione della libreria coinvolta. Questi dati aiutano le persone che possono rispondere.
2) Per evitare confusione prego inserire in questo forum solo topic che riguardano appunto Gnu/Linux in genere, se l'argomento è specifico alla Slackware usate uno dei forum Slackware o Slackware64.
3) Leggere attentamente le risposte ricevute

Salve a tutti, ho acquistato una zayxel zyair g-100 pr il mio vechio laptop che è garantita compatibile con linux. Dopo varie peripezie ho trovato il firmaware giusto ed adesso è riconosciuta ma non si connette, o meglio, si connette se la rete non è protetta. Ecco l' output di ifconfig

Devi aggiungere queste righe nel file rc.inet1.conf:

Ok, quindi la riga if [ "$WPA" = "y" -a -x /usr/local/sbin/wpa_supplicant ]; then è inutile, però non bisognerebbe lasciare questa riga: /usr/sbin/wpa_supplicant -Bw -c/etc/wpa_supplicant.conf -i${INTERFACE} che serve per passare i giusti parametri al comando wpa_supplicant?

Guarda lo script rc.wireless e scoprirai che c'è già. Se usi la Slackware 12.2
Le tua sembrano istruzioni di vecchi file quando ancora non era supportato wpa_supplicant, ma ne è passato di tempo da allora

non so, però se non riesci a risolvere, prova a editare il file /etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules e a modificare le voci eth0 in wlan0 e poi rifai i settaggi in /etc/rc.inet1.conf, infine riavvi o ristarti la rete
Grazie atuuti per le risposte, ma purtroppo non funziona, anche cambiando in udev da eth0 a wlan0 viene sempre vista come eth0. Inoltre senza il wpa abilitato sul router si connette e naviga normalmente; quindi credo che il problema sia il wpa_supplicant. Ho anche cambiato il titolo perchè così è più specifico. Nel forum ho trovato qusto: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=21848&p=170044#p170044 ma non ho capito come ci è riuscito. Maupau, saresti così gentile da spiegarmi quali passaggi hai usato.
