Se avete problemi con l'installazione e la configurazione di Slackware postate qui. Non usate questo forum per argomenti generali... per quelli usate Gnu/Linux in genere.

Regole del forum
1) Citare sempre la versione di Slackware usata, la versione del Kernel e magari anche la versione della libreria coinvolta. Questi dati aiutano le persone che possono rispondere.
2) Per evitare confusione prego inserire in questo forum solo topic che riguardano appunto Slackware, se l'argomento è generale usate il forum Gnu/Linux in genere.
3) Leggere attentamente le risposte ricevute.
4) Scrivere i messaggi con il colore di default, evitare altri colori.
5) Scrivere in Italiano o in Inglese, se possibile grammaticalmente corretto, evitate stili di scrittura poco chiari, quindi nessuna abbreviazione tipo telegramma o scrittura stile SMS o CHAT.

Salve qualcuno mi sa dire come si fà il controllo dell'integrità disco rigito con linux?... Ho un'hd dove volevo mettere xp ma durante l'installazione (nella fase del controllo del disco) mi dà l' odiosa schermata blu :evil: ...

la cosa più rapida è smartctl -H /dev/nomedispositivo per maggiori dettagli puoi visualizzare tutte le informazioni SMART, tra cui gli errori loggati in tuttala sua vita con smartctl -a /dev/nomedispositivo o ancora puoi fare un test breve (o lungo) con smartctl -t short(long) /dev/nomedispositivo e visualizzare il risultato con smartctl -l selftest /dev/nomedispositivo
per tutte le altre opzioni: smartctl -h

in pratica ti sei risposto da solo, se le operazioni sono andate a buon fine....in alternativa c'è sempre man fsck...

Comunque, non so se potrebbe servire mà.. io in questo hd ho solo i permessi di lettura.. ci può scrivere solo il root!... Potrebbe dare problemi per quello l'installazione di win?...Come potrei cambiare i permessi di tutto l'hd dando lettura e scrittura a chiunque?...
l'hd è in /dev/hdb e viene montato su /media/disk... :)

potresti provare:
chmod 777 /media/disk
chmod 666 /dev/hdb
/etc/fstab:
/dev/hdb /media/disk auto noauto,user,rw 1 2

Penso che fsck interviene solo sul filesystem, quindi non legge veramente tutti i settori del disco, smartctl agisce sul sistema smartdisk che non è detto sia abilitato da BIOS (e comunque dovrebbe rilevare il problema prima di avviare il s.o.) ... forse una bella pratica potrebbe essere:

dd if=/dev/sdb of=/dev/null (e aspettare che completi la lettura di tutti i settori per vedere se da' qualche errore)

oppure solo per la partizione di win:

dd if=/dev/sdb1 of=/dev/null
vorrei riavere le mie firme ...

Per un test accurato del disco puoi provare nel sito della seagate ... http://www.seagate.com/www/en-us/suppor ... eatooldreg scarica i "seatools for dos" ed esegui i vari test ... ma fai attenzione!

Se con i seatools ottieni che il disco é ok il problema potrebbe essere della memoria ... prova a fare un test accurato con memtest !

Ti posso confermare che sull'unico disco IDE con settori guasti che ho (120G) la procedura descritta da' ad un certo punto:
/dev/hdb: Input/output error
... certo che ancora più significativo sarebbe fare la procedura inversa, cioè scrivere tanti zero (dd if=/dev/null of=/dev/hdb),
ma così azzeri completamente il disco ... comunque azzerare l'HD potrebbe essere un'idea visto che win da' errori in fase di installazione
vorrei riavere le mie firme ...

Infatti gli errori non sono finiti.. Sono sicuro che l'hd funziona perchè ci ho installato ubuntu per provare, i problemi si hanno solo su windows...

P.S.. L'hd l'ho reciclato!, era nel pc di mio cugi che ha perso un virus con i cogl, lì ha distrutto la scheda madre, ho tenuto masterizzatore dvd e hd--- ora non ricordo bene cosa dice la schermata blu di win

Se hai tempo, metodo cattivissimo.

fdisk /dev/xyz
d
ogni partizione
n (nuova)
p (primaria)
1 (uno)
p (controllare)
w
q

mkfs.ext2 -c -c /dev/xyz

tune2fs -c 100 -i 12m /dev/xyz

fsck.ext2 -y -f /dev/xyz


Lo uso anche per gli USB drive (pennine),
le ultime avevano 4 (quattro) partizioni M$,
ora sono pulite, Linux con ext2


man mkfs
man fsck
e vedi altri FS possibili, se ext2 non ti va.

Fammi capire la situazione ... hai un hard disk che funziona perfettamente bene solo con Linux ...che é diventato incompatibile con windows e ti lamenti ! :lol:


A parte gli scherzi ... sarebbe interessante sapere di cosa si lamenta nella BSOD l' installer di windows :)
