slackware 12.2 e webcam LifeCam 1.3

Si puo funzionare sotto slackware questa LifeCam?

Ho trovato questo http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1034988 ma no sono bravo in inglese , qualcuno mi puo aiutare , se ho capito ha funzionato

SOLUTION

I opened a shell as root on my system and:
# wget http://linuxtv.org/hg/v4l-dvb/archive/tip.tar.gz
# tar zxvf tip.tar.gz
# cd v4l... (whatever the newly created directory name is)
# make all
# make install

then I edited /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-custom and added:
blacklist sn9c102

# reboot

After reboot /dev/video0 is OK

1) Innanzi tutto scarichi la versione recente dei driver:

wget http://linuxtv.org/hg/v4l-dvb/archive/tip.tar.gz

2) poi scompatti l'archivio:

tar zxvf tip.tar.gz

3) entri nella directory appena creata v4l-***

cd v4l-***

4) compili i driver:

make all

5) installi i driver ***WARNING***

questi driver vanno a sovrascrivere quelli vecchi installati
dal pacchetto kernel-modules_tuokernel installato da Slackware
Se qualcosa andasse storto dovrai reinstallare quel pacchetto.
Quindi come root fai:

make install

e

depmod -ae

6) modifica il file /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist (su Slack 12.2)
e aggiungi questa riga:

blacklist sn9c102

7) riavvia e la tua webcam dobrebbe essere riconosciuta.

AVVERTIMENTI:

1) il fatto che funzioni su Ubuntu non vuol dire che funzioni
su Slack (ma dovrebbe)

2) i nuovi driver potrebbero non compilarsi con la versione del kernel su
Slack 12. Io ho provato su Slack 12.2 e si sono compilati senza problemi.

3) ho fatto solo la traduzione. Non mi ritengo responsabile di quello che hanno
scritto sul forum di Ubuntu.
