xorg.conf e touchscreen t101mt

Se avete problemi con l'installazione e la configurazione di Slackware postate qui. Non usate questo forum per argomenti generali... per quelli usate Gnu/Linux in genere.

Regole del forum

xorg.conf e touchscreen t101mt

salve,
ho il sopracitato netbook ho compilato il nuovo kernel 2.6.35-rc1 che aggiunge finalmente il supporto nativo per il touchscreen del mio netbook ma sebbene il moulo hid_egalax venga caricato e riconosciuto non riesco a setterlo nell'xorg.conf, in bash sembra funzionare ma non con X.
ho slack 13.1

Con il nuovo xorg non serve più il file di configurazione xorg.conf (almeno per i pc "normali").
Puoi provare a rinominare il file e lanciare startx incrociando le dita.

infatti avevo notato che non c'era più il classico xorg.conf ma solo un xorg.conf-vesa...
ad ogni modo cosa mi consigli di fare? a livello kernel il driver viene caricato infatti da dmesg leggo

come posso configurare xorg in modo che mi rilevi il touchsceen

ma il kernel lo ha ricompilato da te? sei sicuro dentro ci sia tutto il necessario?
comunque per quanto riguarda il touchscreen, intendi dire che prima non funzionava proprio o che come il mio ad esempio non ti faceva cliccare ma solo muovere il cursore?
Se è il secondo caso, che poi ha riguardato anche il mio touchscreen da parecchi kernel a questa parte, la situazione è modificata già con il 2.6.34 (se non addirittura con il 2.6.33.4 ma non me ne sono neanche potuto accorgere perché il giorno in cui l'ho compilato mi son accorto che era uscito già il 2.6.34 ed allora son corso a scaricarlo :D )..

In pratica te lo riconosce come dispositivo di input (e fin qui tutto bene) e carica i driver synaptics.
Se non funziona, devi cercare con google i driver giusti da usare con xorg per il tuo touch-screen (driver xorg != driver kernel).

ma comunque non è preciso il touch ovunque clicco sullo schermo il puntatore va sempre in basso a sinistra

ho invece installato questi driver sul kernel di default 2.6.33.3 http://home.eeti.com.tw/web20/eGalaxTou ... Driver.htm
e sembra funzionare. la calibrazione funziona bene ma quando sposto una finestra o faccio un disegno con gimp il puntatore parte sempre dalla parte alta dello schermo a sinistra fino a dove sto "disegnando"

rieccomi :(
ho fatto dei piccoli passi in avanti ma ancora non riesco a far funzionare a dovere questo touchscreen :doubt:
innanzitutto ho capito il tipo di problema che non mi faceva far vedere i driver egalax a xorg ed è HAL
scervellandomi un po' con i vari fdi in /usr/share/hal/fdi/policy e googlando un po' ho inserito queste 2 righe in 10-x11-input.fdi

Ciao,
finalmente!!! Ho trovato qualcuno che ha il mio stesso problema! Mi sono impossessato di uno splendido Samsung q1 (prima versione)
e l'unica cosa insieme ai tasti FN che mi è rimasta da fare è la calibrazione del touchscreen, lsusb mi riporta che si tratta di un egalax,
così ho provato a compilare i driver dal sito http://home.eeti.com.tw/web20/eGalaxTou ... Driver.htm ho gogglato vari forum e
tutti dicono che il driver è quello ma quando tento di compilarlo ottengo un messaggio d'errore che specifica una differenza in una struttura
del codice del driver, potresti darmi qualche indicazione? Il mio kernel è quello di default della slackware 13.1 (2.6.33.4-smp), sto usando
xfce come desktop, vista la limitata capacità grafica, il touchscreen è stato riconosciuto ma come è accaduto a te ho evidenti problemi di utilizzo,
se puoi darmi delle indicazioni te ne sarei grato....

ma evdev lo hai come modulo,perche' sembra fondamentale per il touchscreen,dal log non te lo carica ...sembra

Ciao,
tutto risolto per me! Ho un samsung q1, se devo dire tutta la verità, ho provato prima con una installazione
di debian lenny, però poi sono tornato alla 13.1 ti basta scaricare l'archivio dal sito della egalax quello del post
precedente, ed eseguire lo script install.sh e fa tutto da solo, dopo con l'utility integrata riesci a fare anche la
calibrazione! Anche se a me va già bene, l'utility non mi funziona ancora mi sa che manca qualche libreria....
