Codifica UTF-8

Ciao a tutti!
Sto cercando di utilizzare la codifica UTF8 in tutto il sistema, ma ho qualche problema con Konsole (il terminale di KDE).
Le modifiche che ho apportato sono le seguenti:
/etc/profile.d/lang.sh

A questo punto sembra tutto a posto, qui gli output dei comandi locale:

UTF-8

In Konsole sono andato nelle impostazioni del profilo --> Avanzate --> Codifica dei caratteri predefinita e ho settato UTF-8.

Quello che noto è che dando il seguente comando, la lettera "è" non viene decodificata correttamente:

Non c'� una voce per saofsidis

Altri comandi non li ho ancora provati, anche perchè non saprei cosa testare (se me li suggerite li provo).
Ho guardato nelle impostazioni di KDE, ma non ho trovato nulla sulla codifica dei caratteri.
È un problema di Konsole? O è un problema di man che codifica i caratteri in un modo predefinito? C'è qualche altra impostazione da cambiare?

Io a suo tempo aprii questo e questo thread. Il tuo problema l'ho risolto, ma ce ne sono altri, tipo la man page di MPlayer che rimane con i caratteri strani (ho dovuto fare delle modifiche nella pacchettizzazione).

Cavolo, non li avevo proprio visti, grazie!
Il primo è bello lungo, appena ho un po' di tempo me lo leggo con attenzione. Dandogli un'occhiata ho visto che hai ricompilato la man pages.
Chissà se la prossima versione di Slackware avrà questo supporto nativo [-o<
