Desktop "gigante" - Risoluzione 1280x1024

Se avete problemi con l'installazione e la configurazione di Slackware postate qui. Non usate questo forum per argomenti generali... per quelli usate Gnu/Linux in genere.

Regole del forum

Desktop "gigante" - Risoluzione 1280x1024

Salve a tutti,
ieri sera ho installato la slackware 10.2 sul PC di un amico. L'installazione è andata a buon fine. La configurazione no; più esattamente ho dei problemi con xorg. L'amico ha un monitor LCD 17" con risoluzione 1280x1024 a 60Hz. Ho settato xorg con quel valore di risoluzione e con i range di frequenze orizzontali e verticali indicati nelle specifiche del monitor. Il problema si manifesta all'avvio di kde: icone giganti, desktop in cui si "naviga" muovendo il mouse, konsole gigantesca. Ho riprovato a configurare altre volte xorg aggiungendo anche altre risoluzioni ma il risultato non è cambiato. Il centro di controllo di kde mi da come risoluzione 1280x1024 a 60Hz.
Idee?

Il DRI non funziona in xinerama, ma il resto va alla perfezione.

Grazie della risposta, comunque abbiamo risolto sostituendo la scheda video. Era un radeon 9600 con la sola uscita dvi (collegata all'ingresso vga del monitor lcd con un adattatore); l'abbiamo cambiata con una radeon 9200 ed il problema è "sparito". Non so se per "difetto" della scheda video (che comunque sotto win e in modalità non grafica non dava problemi) o per altri problemi.
