Buona sera a tutti,ho un problema con l'istallazione dei driver nvidia.
Dopo averli scaricati(NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-7676-pkg1.run)riavvio il pc in modalità non grafica,faccio sh NVIDIA...e si apre la schermata dell'installazione,accetto la licenza e adesso iniziano i problemi: nella schermata sucessiva mi compare: no precompilate kernel interface was found match your kernel....(sia se do yes che no mi esce il seguente errore)
unable load kernel module 'nvidia.o'.This is most likely because the kernel module was built using the wrong kernel source files.......
Infine installation failled.
Qualcuno sa dirmi il motivo????

Mmmmmmh..........come dice gohanz c'è qualcosa che non va nei sorgenti del kernel. Imlo modulo viene compilato ma non può essere caricato; controlla ciò che dice gohanz, verifica che il gcc installato sia lo stesso con cui è compilato il kernel, e controlla che il comando:
$cat /proc/version fornisca la versione del kernel i cui sorgenti saranno utilizzati per il modulo nvidia.
il link /usr/src/linux deve in altre parole puntare agli effettivi sorgenti del kernel che usi. Il fatto che il modulo venga costruito significhe che dei sorgenti sono installati, ma evidentemente non sono riferiti al kernel che usa il tuo pc.

Il kernel che governa il tuo pc è un 2.6.13, ma i tuoi sorgenti sono, come vedi, del 2.4.31...............per cui l'installer nvidia ha fatto il modulo per il 2.4.31!
devi installare i sorgenti del 2.6.13, rimuovere il link /usr/src/linux e farne uno nuovo che punti a questo kernel, dopodichè puoi rilanciare l'installer.
qualcosa del tipo:
user$su -
[password]
root@darkstar# cd /usr/src
root@darkstar# rm linux
installi i sorgenti, sono nel cd, con installpkg
root@darkstar# ln -s /usr/src/linux /usr/src/linux-2.6.13
controlli con ls che linux punti a 2.6.13
devi installare i sorgenti del 2.6.13, rimuovere il link /usr/src/linux e farne uno nuovo che punti a questo kernel, dopodichè puoi rilanciare l'installer.
