Come devo mettere mano all' xorg.conf per poter utilizzare due monitor in contemporanea?
Come scheda video ho una nvidia ?

Regole del forum
1) Citare sempre la versione di Slackware usata, la versione del Kernel e magari anche la versione della libreria coinvolta. Questi dati aiutano le persone che possono rispondere.

3) Leggere attentamente le risposte ricevute.

5) Scrivere in Italiano o in Inglese, se possibile grammaticalmente corretto, evitate stili di scrittura poco chiari, quindi nessuna abbreviazione tipo telegramma o scrittura stile SMS o CHAT.
6) Appena registrati è consigliato presentarsi nel forum dedicato.
La non osservanza delle regole porta a provvedimenti di vari tipo da parte dello staff, in particolare la non osservanza della regola 5 porta alla cancellazione del post e alla segnalazione dell'utente. In caso di recidività l'utente rischia il ban temporaneo.

ciao io per abilitare due monitor, agganciati a due schede video ho fatto cosi:
Con il comando xorgsetup, faccio riconoschere al sistema le schede video.
Con xorgcfg imposto per entrambe le risoluzioni; uscendo mi dira di salvare la configurazione impostasta, in /etc/X11/xorg.conf e /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb/xo-config.keybord.
Ora andando in modalida grafica dovrebbero avviarsi entrambi i monitor, che ripropongono lo stesso desktop sdoppiato.
Per fare in modo di avere un unico desktop di lavoro devo intervenire sul file /etc/X11/xorg.conf.
Nella sezione Section ServerLayout bisogna sostituire nelle sotto-sezioni Identifier, Screen e Option quanto riportato di seguito, lasciando inalterato il contenuto delle altre direttive:
Section ServerLayout
Identifier “Multihead Layout”
Screen “Screen0”
Screen “Screen1” RightOf “Screen0”
Option “Xinerama” “true”

Screen 0 rappresenta la prima scheda che viene riconosciuta, in questo caso pone la seconda scheda, virtualmene a destra, cosi da avere il punto di giunzione con il secondo monitor a destra.

devi avere l'uscita video ed un cavo adattatore tv-out/monitor e poi leggere le impostazioni del tuo driver per far funzionare sia il monitor che la tv in contemporanea... almeno che tu non abbia due uscite per il monitor...fabiom ha scritto:Ma per utilizzare due monitor con una sola scheda video?
