Silent updates...

Hello guys, please tell me with a few words... How can I understand why a silent update of a package is made?
What I mean... I mean when a package is updated but has the same version number...

An example:
Like last night... I was using my Gslapt and saw that libtheora is updated in Slacky's repository.
Mine is libtheora-1.0pre5-1sl.tgz
Gslapt informed me to update it to libtheora-1.0pre5-2sl.tgz
Well the version number is the same... I know sometimes packages are rebuilt if they were made on older Slackware /10.1 for example/. So they are rebuilt for 10.2

But like in this example... libtheora was made on 10.2 in both of the cases. So why there should be "2sl"? Maybe a bug in the first one? Some kind of error?

I know it is a more recent version... And exactly that's why I am asking
You said "nothing wrong" and "it could be a bug fixed" at the same time. Well, I think "a bug fixed" is "SOMETHING wrong", not "nothing wrong"

Can I stay with the "1sl" version, or I should upgrade it? As I really don't know the changes here...
And I asked how can understand the reason for making the new package?

Normally when the version is the same are bug fixes but it is quite difficult always to know the causes of an updating. You should follow the development of the package.

I think Loris has recompiled it (with other flags or something else).

Well I saw the SlackBuild and I looked into my libtheora /1sl/... Well there is no SlackBuild in the archive, so I can't compare both. I just can't find the one for 1sl...
